Rooiberg Lodge is located in the heart of the Klein Karoo, nestled in the foothills of the Rooiberg Mountains. It spans over approximately 6500 hectares of fynbos and succulent Karoo. The lodge is situated in the Assegaay Bosch Nature Reserve, between Ladismith and Calitzdorp, 12km outside the charming village of Vanwyksdorp.

OUR STORY
The owners, in search of peace and tranquillity, purchased this remote farm over 20 years ago. The farm had been used for hunting, but they soon turned it into a natural paradise, focussing on encouraging the natural fauna and flora to thrive and creating a space where people could relax and unwind. Because of the abundant water supply they planted olive groves which now cover 200 hectares of the farm, and produce award-winning olive oil and preserved olives under the Mont Rouge label.
